Apple is manufacturing its new Mac Pro in Austin and will begin taking orders for them on Thursday. The sleek black cylindrical desktop computer starts at $2,999 to $3,999.
A tweet, embedded below, from Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, announced the computers were being made in Austin.
Last year, Apple began construction on 39 acres in Austin for a new campus to eventually total 1 million square feet of space. The company has about 3,500 employees in Austin already and is expected to double its workforce in the next 10 years.
