The Startup Genome Project 2.0 ranks Austin number one as the fastest growing center for startups in the country.
But the city doesn’t even rank in the top ten for funding, performance or market reach. Austin does rank fifth in talent and second in startup experience. The graphic is reprinted with permission by ComputerScienceZone.org.
These nationwide findings reinforce a study published earlier this week by the Munday School of Business at St. Edward’s University with backing from the Austin Technology Council and the Austin Chamber of Commerce that found sources for venture capital investment in Central Texas are severely lacking compared to other leading tech markets.
